The latest climate summit, COP30, promised to be the “COP of Truth” — a reckoning for the global fossil-fuel regime. Instead it unravelled into gridlock, exposing how governments continue to serve corporate interests while pushing the planet toward destruction. While vulnerable nations, including India, awaited meaningful commitments, the summit gave them hollow pledges and delayed justice. The climate crisis is man-made, yet the very powers that caused it are now dictating its “solutions”. The outcome is not just another failed conference — it underlines how corporate greed keeps governments captive, delay becomes policy, and the people who suffer — farmers, low-income communities, biodiversity‐rich lands like India’s — are once again asked to wait. With implementation deferred, we remain on the brink of climate collapse.
