On September 10, 2012, thousands of people from four villages of Tamil Nadu gathered together to protest against the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant (KNPP) on the shores of Indinathakari village in Tirunelveli district . This plant is just two kilometers away from this village. On that day the uranium fuel (fuel) was being planted in the plant which was done before the start of the nuclear plant.
