World’s largest iceberg, three times the size of New Delhi, breaks from Antarctica’s ice shelf – India Today Web Desk

With climate change triggering unmitigated changes in weather patterns and heating up Earth’s atmosphere, one of the biggest threats is to the southernmost tip of the planet, which is continuously witnessing the degradation of the critically needed ice-shelf. Now, an enormous iceberg has calved from the western side of the Ronne Ice Shelf and is afloat in Antarctica’s Weddell Sea, the European Space Agency said.
