Even as the winters slowly fade away from India, mercury levels have started to inch closer to 40°C in southern and western points of the country. As the early trends suggest, the summer months of March, April and May are likely to be warmer than normal across most parts of India, says the latest seasonal forecast by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
